CLS is delivering online, virtual training. So what? Isn't everyone?

Well yes and no. You know how a good training session makes you feel. You get a buzz, an energy, an excitement, don’t you? You get excited about how you’re going to apply your learning, what you’re going to do differently, what you can change. That’s what CLS makes happen in our virtual learning. We make sure our clients get the same value from our virtual training, as they get from our face to face delivery.

Mark Miller, one of our facilitators for the Max Planck programme, is an expert in leadership development and business management.

Mark explained some of the structure being used. “In a face to face session, you can plan for a 30 minute discussion in small groups. That doesn’t work in the same way in a virtual setting. We design differently when we are doing a virtual programme. The learning is intense. People get a lot of learning from the time they have talking through ideas with others, so we give them virtual learning rooms and highly creative tools to help with their discussions. Taking away a snapshot of a screen or having access later, online, to the visuals they have created, is a lot more flexible and useful than taking a photo of a flipchart. They can share their learning, add to it, and work on it some more, in a way that you can’t with physical flipcharts.”

When you work with the best, the training better be great

The people working for Max Planck are seriously bright. With 18 Nobel prize winners emerging from their ranks, you know their managers won’t be impressed with anything less than the best. 

“At first, they were a little bit relaxed, expecting the ‘same old, same old’. Then they realized just how exciting and engaging our learning sessions are. They really embraced the learning, allowed their creativity to flow and the managers came up with some great outputs.”

Delivering online learning can work incredibly well. CLS facilitators focus on keeping energy levels high, to encourage maximum learning.
