Successful teams in an uncertain world

What does teamwork mean to your organization? Is teamwork the same now as it was in 2019? Will it be the same in 2025 as it is now? Almost certainly not.

Teams are continually pushed to achieve more. Greater efficiency. Just in time delivery. High performance. Total quality. Those are all in danger of becoming yesterday’s ideas.

Teams went from being a group of desks to being a group of screens. We went from social interaction and relationships to micro-management and constant observation online.

Now people are looking for human connections, asking to work remotely, being recruited without ever meeting anyone face to face, looking for new ways of working with others.

The idea of the team and team working is changing. Fast.

A global pandemic changed the way our teams work. What if the next global event is already happening? Do our teams know how to deal with that? Do we know how to support our teams?

Our teams – everyone who is in a team – needs the agility, resilience, adaptability and skills to survive. Not just survive, but genuinely thrive. If our teams can thrive then so will our organizations. With the right teams, we will find new ways of doing business, working, engaging with clients and stakeholders, developing new opportunities and being successful. However we define success.

We can start this process right now by looking at teamwork differently and giving our teams the skills, tools and flexibility to live and work confidently with continuous change.

Tell me more
